Partner I am working for just left the firm, what do I do?
Hey guys,
So I recently joined a private equity firm a few months back, and was hired to work for a specific partner. However, that partner just left the firm due to personal reasons and I am fearing that my role is in jeopardy (I'm not working for a big firm and internal roles are all filled)
I'm thinking of trying to find a job externally, and was wondering:
Any advice of how I should approach headhunters / new companies regarding my story given that I've only been in my current role for a few months. Should I add the reason that I am looking for a new job so quickly is due to partner leaving as a bullet on my resume?
Has anyone encountered this situation before?
