PC to Consulting vs IB

Going to be starting as an analyst at a MM PC firm but am still interested in the path of consulting and IB. Which path would be of least resistance to lateral to within 1-2 years. Consulting makes sense due to the sponsored back companies that I will analyze. IB could also make sense with coverage transaction experience although modeling is quite different.

Open to hearing any thoughts.
