Generally satisfied with comp with positive feedback going into SA / on track for VP promote. However, have started to find the work increasingly boring, but not sure if taking the plunge on HFs makes sense. Don't mind the grind and genuinely enjoy investing, but hesitant to give up a decent seat for uncertainty involved with publics. Would appreciate thoughts of anyone else in similar boat.
nah, stay at get to VP, once you acquire 3mm in the bank then switch careers

Feels like MF market is now 350k ASO1 and 400 ASO2? Some of these MFs have sneakily moved up even further, looks like, though we should keep in mind these are all probably top bucket numbers being posted
How do these A2 numbers benchmark against A1? I’m curious about the progression, thanks!

Am I underpaid given fund size? Will touch ~$300k as a SA.
Think that's pretty underpaid I think. Are you pulling normal PE hours ?
Like ~60ish during a "normal" week, but obviously can ramp to 90+ during live deals -- any sense of what market $ would be for a $3-4bn fund at the senior associate level?
+/- $360k
This range sounds about right. For reference, I'm at a 750mm fund and will be ~325k for SA . But I will say I would do just about anything for a 60 hour week...
Agreed that for ~$4Bn fund a $350k-400k comp would be market average
Where do the public MFs shake out?
