PE Interview from RE Background - Advice

I'm 24 and come from a RE background (REPE out of school and now have been in development for about a year) and have been asked to interview for a family office that invests across a wide range of traditional and alternative asset classes (RE, PE, and a bit of public equities). I decided recently that I'm going to apply to B-school in a year or so with the intention of pursuing PE afterwards, but wasn't expecting an opportunity this early. The recruiter that placed me at my current job put my resume forward and explained my background to the family - they've since asked to meet so I'm under the assumption they are aware of my experience to date.

Wanted to get an unbiased view of what I should expect and whether or not this is even remotely realistic. I'd consider myself a top performer in my field, and an avid reader on business and markets, but wholly recognize this is a completely different field and am way behind the eight ball. I had just recently started working through the WSP courses but still have a ton of work to go on the modelling side. Conceptually, I feel I have a good understanding of the business, but again recognize that there are nuances that would only be learned through hands-on experience. I'd be very interested and would likely accept the role if I was able to get it so I just want to prepare myself as best as I can.

What should I be focusing on prior to the interview? If there is anyone who's made a similar switch, what are the challenges you experienced changing fields? Any other general advice would be much appreciated.
