What should the modeling test look like based on timing? 90 min, 120 min and 180 min. Based on the length of these exams what should we expect?

I have seen (and done) the following:
- 48 hours modelling/case study. The fund send you instructions and you basically have to build a model from scratch, submit a 6/7 slides deck and present the whole thing during a fake investment committee. Usually there is no wrong or right answer, your results need to be defendable and logic
- 120min modelling/case study. The fund give you instructions with a model template I had to do a basic valuation as well as answer few high level questions (Pros & Cons, areas of DD etc...)
- 90/60min test. Usually pretty straight forward, the only thing they test is whether you know how to do basic DCF/DDM modelling based on a very simple set of assumptions
I also noticed that a lot of candidates underestimate how important is the formatting. It makes the reviewer's life easier and usually it weight in your favour if you had paid attention to this.
Does the case study portion of the interview tie in with the modeling test or is it separate?
