PE to Corp Dev title and comp

I’m an associate at a large cap PE firm (2 years banking / 3 years associate now) thinking about corp dev roles. What kind of title and comp should I expect/ask? Thanks!

Depends on the company and size of team.

Manager / Senior Manager might be doable at an acquisitive F500 (often they have stricter YOE requirements), probably Director at a decent sized PE-backed platform, maybe VP if it’s a smaller PE-backed firm but I wouldn’t bank on it - I think this is typically easiest if you’re a VP at the fund and moving to a PortCo

Depends, but most likely manager. Maybe senior manager depending on the company and how well you can sell your experience and value you'll bring to the table. I'm leaving my role for a traditional corp dev job and am being brought in at manager level. Company I'm joining, fortunately, has pretty regular and clearly defined career/title progression, and I think I'll be able to move to senior manager sooner than otherwise given my YOE.
