Platinum Equity Culture/Comp/Performance

Anyone have thoughts on what working for Platinum is like? The LA location looks dope and they've raised an absurd amount of money recently, but I've heard culture is shitty and the Gores bros are definitely characters. Any info would be helpful. Thanks!

Hey Principal in PE - LBOs, what a lonely thread. I'm here since nobody responded ...so maybe one of these discussions will help:

Culture has evolved a lot as they’ve grown. There’s a big difference between old platinum and new platinum both from an investment philosophy and culture side. I’ve heard really positive things from some friends who are associates there and every time we’ve engaged platinum on a deal they’ve been super sharp and laser focused. Pay is market I would say. Definitely a great place to be right now as they are raising fund VI. Going to put them on the map in a big way.

Any other thoughts? Seems like they are a huge fund that doesn’t get a lot of coverage on this site

ive been at 3 seperate sell sides where the owners REFUSED to let platinum in the process.  Like straight up told us they are enormous dicks, they don't trust them, and they would never under any circumstance do business with them.
