Prepping for GE interview without finance exp. - how do I start?

Hey,

Been invited to two interviews at a Growth Equity firm, and without prior finance knowledge, I am a bit lost at sea here. For context, I am currently working part-time in a boutique consultancy.

When I asked HR about how to best prepare for the interview, I got the response that we will cover some basic questions getting to know each other. This part seems quite straight forward, and I assume it is typical fit / behavioral questions

However, I was also told that we will cover a case study in each respective interview, simulating tasks that an associate does. Moreover, both interviews are scheduled to be one hour, so I would not expect the cases to be too long and extensive.

With the above said:

  • What should I concentrate my prep towards? Valuation? Accounting? Something else?
  • What could I expect for the case studies?
  • What resources do you recommend?

Thanks in advance.
