Private Credit / DL Comp Check
Currently a 1st year associate in DL in a Tier 2 city. Will make $185k all-in this year (105 base, 80 bonus)
Is this in-line with market pay for a similar role?
Work close to 60 hours / week on average, fund size in the $5-10bn range. I had done 1.5 years of IB before
That seems about right, especially for a tier 2 city. Current working in Chicago in DL for a much larger fund making a bit more with the same 1.5 years of experience prior.
A bit more as in like 5% more, or more like 20% more?
About 10% based off what I was guided to when I joined in January 2020 but won't know or receive my bonus for 2020 until early next year.
I take it you're at $200k all-in, given that difference is driven mostly by fund size?
If I may ask, are both your base and bonus higher? Or just one or the other?
Base is about the same but bonus is higher. And yes that's about right
Tier I city as a first year making ~250k all in as a data point. Fund is defiantly on larger end for pc with hours pushing the 70 mark on average
What's the approximate AUM range? That's more in line with what I would expect from one of the larger PC platforms
