Private Equity right after undergraduate

How can I improve my chances of starting in private equity right out of college? I am from a target school majoring in Economics and Mathematics, and my GPA is around 3.7.

^The above, though I understand that sophomores have to prep through winter break, unfortunately. The first thing I'd say is you should make sure you're a good fit to start in PE after college - not everyone is. Networking won't be nearly as important as it is in IB summer recruiting, but you should still do it to grow your network and get helpful tips. On the technical side, you need to know everything in the 400Q and other IB guides, + know your LBOs and other PE techs in and out. To be honest with you, a 3.7 may be on the lower end of what the PE firms you're going for would consider, though GPA is only one factor among many
