Private Equity Strategic M&A Cases? Anything Notable??
Hey everyone, was curious about strategic acquisitions by alternative asset managers to add onto their investing arm. Not acquisition of PortCos, but acquisitions to expand their investing platforms into different asset classes. Looking specifically into acquisitions made (if any) by KKR, Carlyle, Blackstone, and Apollo, and potentially where I might be able to get info for some case studies on them.
I know of a couple examples like:
- TPG's acquisition of Angelo Gordon
- Brookfield's acquisition (I guess more like majority stake) of Oaktree
- Blackrock's acquisition of Global Infrastructure Partners
- EQT's acquisition of Baring PE Asia
and so on and so forth. Would appreciate everyone's input!
