They are well know for a reason, but as mentioned in another comment, super sweaty from what I heard.

Super stacked roster of guys who have been doing E&P forever (don’t know much about the Innovation Fund). It’s a really big deal when you meet a management team sponsored by Quantum, definitely says something.

While in IB, a director in the energy coverage group told me that their associate seats are the “most coveted in Houston E&P”.

Genuinely curious if others think the same

Same guy from above. I would say it’s a good seat to have but wouldn’t say
the most coveted seat. Their latest fundraise was pretty drawn out and it’s very too heavy so there’s not much room for direct promotions there. Their portfolio exits haven’t been as strong as say EnCap which has had 1.5bn+ exits one after another. Honestly think a place like Carnelian is probably the hottest seat in Houston E&P right now.
