I am a first year IB analyst interested in working in distress for control PE. I've been trying to reach out to a bunch of PE associates via linkedin but have not had much luck. I was just wondering what is the best message to send to associates on linkedin or any other methods to contact them?

Are you reaching out to random people or people with some level of connection? If someone from my former banking group or college reached out to me I'd definitely respond, but if it was just a random analyst I'd be a lot less likely to respond.
Maybe just say hi, happy to be helpful if I can and tell them about yourself and ways you might be able to be helpful. Just an idea
