Recruiting post-PE

Just curious, what is recruiting like once you’re actually in PE? Suppose this can be broken into two categories: PE lateral and industry
(1) PE lateral
Assuming there’s both little supply and little demand for experienced PE lateral hires, how frequent are headhunters reaching out about other firms? Maybe I’m wrong about the supply of roles - just seems like golden handcuffs are really in play at everything above associate level, thus few vacancies.
Guess I’m curious if you really have to hustle / network or if opportunities are presented.
(2) Industry
Does this even exist? I guess corp dev? If you were just totally burnt of high finance after like 5-6 years, what is out there that is interesting (plus decent comp)?
Since this is about recruiting, are people reaching out about VP of Finance / Strategy types of roles? Something else?

I feel that my goal for the last five years was landing a nice PE gig. That was finally accomplished, and now I’m struggling to see the legitimate options going forward if I don’t love the fund / the job.
As a caveat, I’m not going to B school.

Would appreciate any insight from someone a few years my senior.
