These groups work exceptionally hard and with very long hours. Most of the funds are really small unless you are part of a satellite office for like HarbourVest or Ardian.
Fwiw, I have never seen anyone in a FoF move to a GP in Asia, but secondaries professionals in Asia seem to have much more stability with career progression. I would be curious to know what they are paid.
