Call her up, schedule a meeting and study up on industry specific information. Learn what the industry is all about, because, so far, I think you have no clue.

I well aware of the differences between investment banking, trading, and private equity. That being said, I'm in no way claiming to be an expert on any field. I simply aspire to one day get into investment banking. I'm mainly looking for less than general advice on my particular situation.

Seriously though, if you can get in touch with that founder, fuck IB. Try to get full-time employment at that PE firm! Work there every summer and network hard!
