Small boutiques to private equity
I’m wondering if anyone can tell me about if it’s difficult to move from a small boutique ib firm into private equity. I’m specifically thinking of firms like ardea, broadhaven, m. Klein, dyal, etc. Will firms like these offer a road into PE, or do you need an EB or BB name behind you to get looks from PE. Any info about this would be helpful
Quickest way to find this out is to look up the resumes of the Associates these firms hire. Look up employees on LinkedIn. Also speak to a good headhunter, they will have a view. (Yes, there are good headhunters out there!)
