Small FA focused on Tax Equity - Long Term Career Outlook

Hi friends, got an opportunity for a Financial Advisory firm balanced with buy side and sell side deals.

Position info: For type of deal, heavy in Tax Equity, some M&A and fundraising but light. For sector, 80% energy transition and 20% transportation and others. Team is very small (less than 50 ppl), only who works in Tax Equity might know their name. Pay is great, both base and bonus are above industry elite boutiques and big names.

Personal career interest: Be in the infrastructure space, but don’t mind only Energy Sector exposures while missing Social, TMT, and Transportation. Prefer to be in financial services either in deals/transactions type of role, doesn’t matter private credit/debt or equity, or alternatives (FoF, secondaries, co-invest).

Question: Should I take it? If so, how’s the career exit, to be more accurate, long term career direction or growth looks like if one day leave this place (so far not seeing I’ll leave within several years since I really like the people and the work sounds interesting). Especially, for a long-term career to pursue a global exposures, will TE pigeon hole myself? Welcome for the thoughts and comments. Happy holiday!
