So what exactly happened...?

So I stumbled upon this MM PE firm I really wanted to intern at and the alum I reached out to seemed pretty receptive. The alum straight up asked if I wanted an internship and then requested my resume.

It's been a while, and I've heard no news regarding it. Am I just not qualified, are they just really busy, or what's up? I just shot off a follow-up email.

Sorry for the paranoia. Just trying to finalize something for the summer and I'm getting stressed out of my mind. Thanks for any advice.

Best, BankingWaffle

I would give a call. Just remember to remain persistent, but not annoying. People are busy and could be on the road or something.

At this point your options are 1) do nothing and not get the internship 2) remain persistent and not get the internship 3) remain persistent and get the internship.

The only one I would rule out is #1. It could be true that you are not qualified but showing a strong interest goes a long way sometimes.
