heard some blackstone kid got apollo and tpg

So what'd he/she decide?

TPG I think?

any idea why? I heard Apollo pays like 400 first year

no no no I think you mean half year.

In all seriousness, really ?

$400k is pretty accurate. It's actually a bit higher than that, but about $50k is in Apollo units that vest over time. Also note that Apollo puts its associates on a december calendar year (b/c it's not a 2 year program), so it's not directly comparable.

But there's no question Apollo pays higher the other megafunds. They also run a much leaner shop.

Centerbridge pays around there as well, so it's certainly not unheard of for fund performing well.
