stupid not to try to recruit MF/do on-cycle recruiting?

Incoming FT at a mid coverage group at a top BB. Noticed HH outreach is starting to pick up and been seriously debating if i should do on cycle or not (or even just aim for MF/top UMM in general)

For context i feel like i totally lucked out in getting the offer i did. Was aiming for MM IB when i was recruiting, only had a couple BB interviews. I'm not the most naturally ambitious person (but i would still consider myself to be hardworking) and at the time of recruiting was just wanting to work a solid job that set me up for a solid career and a solid life. But ended up getting a far better offer than i ever imagined and now i guess i have the opportunity to keep climbing the "ladder" so to speak.

People around me and my mentor said that it'd be silly for me not to try for MF now that i have a shot at it. In a way part of me feels obligated to recruit for MF because i know many people in my position would go for MF.

Would really appreciate any advice from those who went through something similar. n
