Switching from middle office IB to PE

I started a couple of months ago in middle office risk at a BB in India. It is my first job straight out of college. The work isn't something I find very exciting. I am taking the CFA level 1 later this year and I am looking to switch to a front-office role within the next year. I think I would like to get an MBA from the States so I think I would need good work experience for that. From the little research I have done, I think I would enjoy a private equity role. I am looking for some advice on how to make this switch.
