switching from VC to PE
Hi guys,
I'm currently at a target university in the EU. Previously, I interned in Big Tech and at an early-stage VC (Pre-seed/Seed), but I'm now looking to pivot into Large Cap PE.
As much as I love tech, early-stage VC can be a bit boring as a junior — it’s essentially a BDR-type role where you're talking to people all day, but you often miss the best deals because tier-1 US funds scoop them up (and you typically only join those as a Principal or Partner). Plus, the salary is pretty low — junior roles usually start around €50k.
Would love to hear if any of you did the switch from VC-> PE/ Opinions.
