The PE bible…
TLDR: I am switching from REPE to PE and want a recommendation for a book/textbook that will give me a strong fundamental understanding of PE.
Hey everybody. I am transitioning from REPE to an analyst role at a PE firm. I am looking for a book recommendation.
In commercial real estate, there is a book referred to as ‘the blue bible’ written by a Wharton professor. It is around 300 pages and it provides a fundamental overview of the REPE industry as a whole. Anytime someone asks for a book recommendation, ‘the blue bible’ is almost always one of the handful of books suggested.
Is there a PE-equivalent? Of course, I can’t learn it all in one book (or 100), but I would love a good recommendation on where to start.
