Great fund. Was kind of bummed when I didn’t land an offer there although I’m very happy with where I ended up. Raised a $7B fund in the past couple of years. Pretty good performance. Have a sizable operations team that’s loaded with a bunch of former consultants. They do a good amount of work in the chemicals and business services spaces. Not afraid of capital intensive businesses. B school placement has traditionally been a bit weaker than that of some other top UMM funds (e.g., Berkshire, Golden Gate, New Mountain) but it looks like they’re sending at least 3 people to HBS this year (at least according to an HBS report I found online). And $300k comp as referenced above sounds consistent with what I was told a couple of years ago.
