Timeline from Final Interview to Offer in Off-Cycle?
How long does it usually take to hear back from the headhunter / firm after a final round in an off-cycle PE process? Any experiences to share would be appreciated

If you don’t hear back within 1 week after a final round it’s usually a ding or a hold as they consider other candidates who may outperform you. Would say it’s fine to email the HH 7 days after or that Monday, whatever comes first that is not on the weekend
Is a hold basically saying "we would like to offer the post to someone else, but if they say no, we would give it to you"?
Not always that cut and dry but a hold is essentially you didn’t perform well enough for us to rush and snap you up off of the market.
