Top Funds for TMT?
Looking for some insight into the top funds for TMT investing outside of obvious ones like Silver Lake, Thoma, Vista. Would be interested in hearing who the other biggest players are, even if TMT is not the only sector they focus on (H&F for example).
It’s going to be a really long list, but to help you out, here are a few that come to mind.

Permira, TPG, Advent, FP are all strong players
Based on the most helpful WSO content, some of the top funds for TMT (Technology, Media, and Telecom) investing include:
Thoma Bravo: This fund is very focused on B2B enterprise software, with a $1-2bn TEV sweetspot. They are more growth-oriented and primarily focus on software.
Vista Equity Partners: Similar to Thoma Bravo, Vista is also focused on enterprise software and they dominate a significant portion of the B2B software buyout PE deals on the market.
Silver Lake: Unlike Thoma and Vista, Silver Lake has a much wider mandate in terms of industry and structure. They have made investments in software, hardware deals like Dell, energy & resource tech like Tesla, and media investments such as AMC, the UFC and Madison Square Gardens.
TPG Tech, KKR TMT: These are also significant players in the TMT sector.
Other funds that have a large tech focus but are not exclusively TMT include Welsh Carson, Veritas, Genstar, and New Mountain.
