Transition to PE

I led my deal team in IB (worked at a boutique, so it was my director, me (associate), and an analyst in most cases).

Moving to PE, I’m the most junior person on the team where I feel like I’ve regressed on my scope.

Is this normal, and what is the anticipated scope for associates? Should I be leading calls? [First month] in?
