What does the west coast tech PE scene look like? Obviously Silver Lake has a Menlo Park office along with Thoma and Vista with Francisco partners being HQ'd in SF. I've also heard Advent and H&F are big.
What are some other noteworthy funds? Do KKR/Blackstone/Bain have a west coast presence? Also which funds are exclusively buyout and which do growth deals as well?
