what can you do after a not so great interview ?
Hello fellow monkeys,
I have been interviewing for a boutique PE Advisory . I have already gone through 3 rounds of interviews for their analyst program. the 1st phone interview and 2nd [with the SVP] went very well but the 3rd one [with a VP] I didn't do well with the fundamental analysis questions, However, I think it didn't raise a complete red flag as the interview continued for another 40 minutes.
The day after the second interview with SVP, he put me in touch with the VP for third round and told me to ask any question I have from him in the meantime.
I was told that if they decide to go forward with my application, the 4th round will be a case study for me to do my own time.
I don't have IB experience and have worked in corporate finance/Accounting (FP&A) for the past 2 years and I am sure their main concern with my application is my ability to do models.
It's been 3 days and I haven't heard back. I was thinking of preparing a LBO and a DCF model over the weekend and to reach out to SVP with the result along with a couple of questions to show enthusiasm for the role and to help my application.
Does anyone think it is a good idea? or anyone could give me advice on what to do at this point?
Best,
