What is "Market" comp for senior associate / VP level in PE?
Ideally broken down by fund size, focus, location, post/pre-MBA etc. There seems to be a lot more variability and less transparency than at the associate level.

As you said, lots of variability. With the senior associate title, it also depends on whether senior associate is a full role that they hire into (sometimes out of MBA - see Carlyle, Blackstone) or just the natural progression of an associate who’s staying past their 2-year stint (this is more like banking senior analyst positions). A comprehensive answer isn’t really possible, so it would be helpful if you specified what you’re looking for specifically, because the comp range at that level is probably anywhere from $250k-$500k (some also with carry, others not)... may even see some closer to $225k for LMM non-NYC roles
