Which MFs do true big deals??
Curious. Seems to me that BX, TB, H&F, routinely do big deals (>$2bn check). Who else?
Obviously KKR is a megafund, but it seems as if all of their deals are relatively small (with the occasional "big" one being $4-5bn TEV). Industrials team for example seems like relatively small teams, granted these have done really well. Warburg too.
interested.
KKR literally did the largest lbo in history
Yes, but I'm talking recently. Not like those worked out lol. Past 5 years + moving foward (ex infra which seems to do big deals)
Infra by nature is usually big deals, so any major Infra fund
Those that are always listed for the largest deals include Hellman and Friedman, Blackstone, TB, SLP and CVC.
Carlyle, KkR, Permira, Veritas and CD&R also up there
UMMs are generally sector focused and do bigger deals and syndicate some equity. Blackstone does the most probably
Could you share some names that write 1bn+ check
Permira, H&F, Veritas, TB, EQT, CD&R, Apax, etc all doing multi$bn
Just google which have raised >$10bn funds - those will have to be deploying at >$1bn+ TEVs to achieve their timelines
UMMs do big deals they just syndicate some equity out
