WLB Focused Exits

Joining a Tech Megafund as an Associate soon. Wanting to hear from people who have done their 2 years an exited - what are the kind of opportunities you can get as an exit?

Often hear about people exiting to Corp Dev / Strategy roles that are in the 200k ball park for a 40 hour week. In other words, seems to be around new grad salary for engineers at FAANG.

Hoping I’m missing some stats points so - How much better if it all are PE exits, in terms of pay and WLB, compared to friends who just started in SWE and made it to a Senior Dev position.
