Would you quit the PE job for MF (public market role)?
Which career would you prefer? I have a banking background and working as a junior analyst in their PE division. Since I am unsure if my current job is what I want, I would like to explore the secondary market mutual funds before it's too late (Think of firms with an AuM with 200 - 300bn) in terms of compensation and career progression. Many thanks!
What's a secondary market mutual fund?
I am referring to the analyst role at MF that invest in the public market (Equity/ Fixed-income) to avoid the confusion with MF PE
Why? two jobs are completely different
Just want to make a switch, i dont know is it wise
Bump
The question makes no sense, what are you doing currently at the PE shop and what is your offer at the Mutual Fund. Every team at a Mutual Fund has a completely different structure and compensation plan, it’s impossible to answer your Q without further details. Also, what previous said, both are completely different jobs with completely different lifestyles.
