ABA Certificate - Worth It?
I'm thinking about taking the courses for the American Bankers Association Certificate in Business & Commercial Lending (https://www.aba.com/training-events/online-traini…). Has anyone else on here who is a commercial real estate borrower taken it and has it been helpful?
For context, I have a small self storage development shop and primarily use regional lenders for debt financing. I'm used to shopping around for debt - typically I'll reach out to 15-20 lenders for a project and receive 8-10 term sheets to compare. In the last few months some of my lenders have behaved oddly in terms of changing their risk tolerance dramatically. I'd really love to better understand what is going on behind the scenes after I submit a project for bank review, which is driving me to evaluate courses like this one.
Hi CRE Entrepreneur, yes, I'm a bot, but I'm also good looking. Hopefully, these threads help you:
