Ares REPE
See some job postings for an associate position in their Dallas and Atlanta offices. How are the regional offices compared to LA and NY? Any insight into either would be greatly appreciated.

My understanding was the entire real estate team is based in Atlanta. LA and NY are more corporate focused.
Got it. Any other insight into the Atlanta team you can share? Thanks!
Unfortunately not. They did a huge wave of recruiting probably 2 or 3 years ago when they planted the flag and moved all the RE people there. But its Ares - they're huge, you're going to get paid pretty well, you're going to work a lot of hours (but probably not as much as the LA / NY offices). They have a ton of capital they need to deploy so you will be busy. If I had the opportunity with 2-4 years of experience I would go for it.
Edit: If you want specifics on living in Atlanta and its culture DM me. I'm assuming you're not from there.
Not sure if this is true? The LA and NY offices have big presences in RE both in their equity and debt teams.
The equity team is literally based in century city lol
Anyone know what associate comp is at ares?
Bumping for comp info
The Associate role I saw on Linkedin had comp info listed on it. I think $175k max base plus a bonus?
.
They pay in the same range as their peers. Can probs expect somewhere 225-275k for a first year associate depending on market and performance.
Is this for acquisitions?
Bump
Bump - any insight on team culture / flexibility to transfer offices after a year or so? See an ATL position open, wonder if feasible to sit in ATL office then transfer to NYC later on. Also, any realistic gauge on hours?
Hey - I have some friends in their LA office. I don't recall what some of their roles are, but one is on their real estate team. Hours are 50+/week - so bad, but not too bad. Not a ton of options to transition to NY/LA if you're already in ATL is my understanding. They're trying to move the LA/NYC people to ATL and Texas.
