ARGUS Base year n-1?
Hi All,
I'm getting back in ARGUS, know what a base year stop is and a stop amount it, what is base year n-1 as an option?

Candidly, haven't used the +1 option often and can't remember ever using the -1 option. It sets the base year stop as the prior year. An easy way to check is to go to the Recovery Audit tab and detail into the lease that you're using the -1 option. You'll see where and how the stop amount is being applied.
I feel like it would only be useful if there was an ongoing model for asset management as I haven't run into too many new argus runs with deep historical figures.
you are correct, it is for an annual review on a property and I need to update the argus with new leases that have been signed over the last year.
Thank you to you both for answering. I used the help function and ARGUS said it was period of lookback for base stop, e.g. -1. but it didn't specify what periods the inputs should have been in e.g. months/years?
I just used stop amount
stop sounds like the safest bet. I think it would have been N-1 where N is the new lease start date in the lease itself and it would be a trailing 12m opex figure.
I think that is Base Stop -1, there is a Stop 1-N (where you have to input what N is), but it doesn't give you what the denominations are
