Associate, assistant, junior (vp or director)…i could be wrong but in my experience its just a flashier way to say associate. I have buddies in ER went from associate to AVP (associate is ers analyst).

I know a banker who went from A3 to associate Director and i know a Junior director of sales which is basically a step above entry level for him but gives him credit when presenting i suppose.

AVP especially is the biggest offender here across several industries unless its the AVP to the singluar VP at a company. Basically there isn’t a difference in general but case by case there could be.
