Sorry bud but I can offer experience as someone who has interviewed for a role at Blackstone. HR simply asks behavioral questions and wants to see how you’d fit in the team culture. Also, do your research on the firm(besides the specific team you want to work on). Like get to know their initiatives and ESG, mention that in an interview and they’ll know you did your research. After that, you’ll mostly likely interview with a senior member that would be supervising you on a team. Expect that round to be heavily technical, not necessarily Excel but really know your real estate terms. Also, will throw out some brain teasers that trip people up. Hope that helped in some type of way.

What if your first-round is with team members, not HR? I believe mine is with a team so expecting less behavioural and more technical? Thoughts?

Interviewed for SA role for the upcoming summer. IDK how helpful my insight will be, but I would say have a few investment thesis/ ideas that you can talk about. I "mini pitched" a REIT I had been following and they tried to poke holes in and see if I could support/ defend my idea.

Basically, be ready to answer the typical if you had 100mm where would you invest it?

BX also loves to really dig deep into your resume, so I would be ready to talk about anything and everything you have listed on your resume in detail.
