Cambridge MPhil Real Estate Finance

Hello all,

I have dug around the forums and internet in search of current information on Cambridge’s MPhil Real Estate Finance. Most posts seem to be rather old and risk being outdated, so I am posing the question anew: how is the degree viewed in the real estate and finance industries?

I have recently been accepted to the program, but am trying to learn more those in the industry before making my decision.

Hi Echo_Roman, whoops, looks like nobody chimed in here.... maybe one of these discussions below is relevant:

Not sure if still relevant... But one of the guys from my undergrad did this programme. Then went to a top 3 BB and to an MF afterwards. Overall, I think it places well.

Thanks! Digging around and can’t find an answer: what is MF referring to? I’ve seen Blackstone referenced so I’m guessing mega fund or similar.

"dibs99" MF stands for a private equity Mega fund. I. E the oldest and the biggest PE funds. KKR, Blackstone, TPG, Bain, Carlyle etc.

Thank you for the clarification. Based on KKR, BX, etc., finding my way into real estate private equity at an MF is ultimately my goal. Great to hear. Thanks again.
