Career choice question Acquisitions to REIB

So, I am currently working for a lifestyle fund in my home country (think Belgium, Austria, Norway, Luxembourg, smaller European countries basically). Been at the fund for 6months now and enjoy my work and team, we have good deal flow and the fund is doing really well. I've now been headhunted into a BB in London to be part of a brand new team in REIB.By switching, I would have my salary bumped at least by +70%, a huge name in my CV, and finally, I would get to be part of the building phase of the team which is of huge interest to me (leaving my own mark in a sense).Personally, switching seems to be the better option long and short-term. I know staying for 6 months only is shunned upon and I'd never would've entertained the idea of switching otherwise, but here we are. I am trying to weigh the negative impact of leaving early and the positive career growth effect of switching so would love to hear opinions on this.

So, if you think you would leave this firm anyway at some point (like at the 2-3 year mark), AND you really want to do REIB (not just using for "exit ops"), they YES take it and don't look back.

IF the reason you want to do REIB and get a big name on the resume is so you can leverage back to buyside (especially for a firm like your current one), then you need to think carefully.

Personally, with a 70% upside on salary, and overall learning (REIB is great for this) and opportunities all around... I'd be taking it if it were me.
