Choosing a college major
Currently a sophomore at Brown University and the time to declare my concentration has come. While most here are majoring in applied math-economics, we have a new major here coming next semester called Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. You still have to take intermediate micro, econometrics, and other upper-division economics classes, but I’d get to round off my studies with courses in urban policy and logic which interest me a lot more than just taking quanty classes that I’ll never use in my career.
I hope to break into CRE in LA or NYC when I graduate and I was wondering if this major would be okay? I guess my worry is I’ll fail to get a job in CRE and won’t be employable.
