CRE European/UK Job Market

Curious if any European/UK-based folks can comment on the current CRE job market and outlook for the next 6-12 months?

I couldn't find any recent forums about this. I've heard that a bunch of firms are not doing so well and have done quiet layoffs in different scales over the last 6 months. At the same time, a PERE article came out yesterday saying Blackstone is looking to be even more active in Europe in 2024 which implies at least no layoffs. (I know Blackstone is the gold standard, but would not be expecting to hear so much gloom about the European/UK job market otherwise).

From my limited experience, recruiters have been saying for the last 18 months "yes the market is shit but things are picking up". Hope they are right now ..

Currently working in the Nordics and looking to lateral. I have found it very hard the last year and it seems that the companies can afford to be picky with candidates.
