Dixon Advisory USA... anyone have experience with them? would working there be negative as it is not traditional assets?

Does anyone have any info or experience with Dixon Advisory USA? even though it is a REIT and are institutional in resources, they invest in single family, brownstones and some small apartment buildings. all assets are in the NYC metro area and the vast majority of their assets are single family and brownstones. they do do some JV's on small apartment buildings but i think it is a very small % of assets.

would working as an analyst on 4 unit brownstones and single family homes, which aren't the usual institutional assets (compared to office, multi, retail etc) be a negative? would switching back to traditional RE asset firms be difficult? say a large multifamily reit or pe firm.

thoughts on working for a company that invests in assets like this?

I don't know about a negative, but I don't think it'll give you an advantage over any other CRE job if you want to do CRE in the future. SF is very simple and I'm sure you will be competing against folks who have backgrounds more focused on what you want to do when you are competing for interviews. In addition, I don't think Dixon's personnel backgrounds seem particularly impressive - saw like a former real estate agent as a senior acq person..
