Eastdil employees don’t typically build models from scratch. It’s all templates. Not a great place to learn true Excel modeling, although you use Excel a lot (Argus is the focus), but definitely a great place to get reps and learn the RE investment business and valuation / underwriting. Experience can vary by office though. I worked there for several years as a junior.

And fwiw, I was not a nepo hire. I had no prior real estate or finance experience when I joined, and no family or friends in the business. I just rolled the dice on real estate and worked the interview process. My recollection is the nepos tended to get hired as interns, but full-time hires were made according to aptitude and fit (not your father’s last name), but maybe that’s changed.
