FT REPE Opportunities out of Undergrad

Hey everyone,

I’ve been reading WSO for a while now but first time posting here. I am looking to pursue a career in REPE out of college (previous internship experience in RE) and wanted to know what good full-time opportunities there are out there, preferably in Acquisitions (aside from BX, Starwood, MS). Would appreciate any help with this, as well as any other advice regarding FT RE investing recruiting you might have. Thanks!

Blackstone, Starwood, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan Asset Management, Tishman Speyer, Goldman Sachs, Harrison Street, PGIM Real Estate.

There's definitely a lot more regional and smaller shops that hire for acquisitions roles at the entry-level.

Agreed, it would serve OP well to do his diligence on what major REITs and respected MM REPE shops are hiring in his target cities. A lot of the major REITs like SL Green, JBG Smith, Gramercy (Now BX?), Realty Income Corp, etc. hire directly from UG for Investment roles.

Also be aware that RE is a super networking-heavy industry by virtue, and if you want to get ahead you should start getting comfortable sending out some cold LinkedIn emails to people at target shops and chatting them up about their roles. It's a great way to snag on off-market position or establish a connection that will back you during the interview process.

Completely agree with the God... out of undergrad, I've found that the firms who do hire newly grads can be fairly selective with schools they recruit out of. For example, at my firm, we only post "analyst" job opportunities at certain schools yet there is always a few anomaly resumes from kids who networked.

Talk to as many folks at these target firms as possible! Often you may not even know a position exists until you have these conversations.
