Graduation Year on LinkedIn?

Been seeing this a lot lately - people removing their graduation year under education tab on LinkedIn. Assuming this is a preventative measure against age discrimination? What do people think about this? Seems a little silly, but is it something I should do?

I see this a lot with folks who may have graduated in the 80s or earlier. Haven't seen too many my age do it (2017 grad) unless it's becoming a thing with the younger generations?

The older professionals certainly do this to combat against age discrimination. But I personally find it helpful to know how old someone might be when trying to connect/network, etc.

That said, there may be no personal benefit removing it or keeping it - up to you really.
