How to determine what you want to do for an RE career?

Hi everyone! I'm a fresh college grad who needs a little help in determining what exactly I want to do for a career in real estate. I know I really like RE in general, but there's like so many paths (AM, Acq, etc.). I don't know what to pick!

The market is kind of tough right now but I have a very fortunate position where I can be a little bit choosy. Given this, what is the most efficient way to figure out what I like to do to start off with?

This is always a bit hard to answer since we don't know you and you don't know enough about the various roles and paths so neither one of us can really be definitive here. What do you like about real estate in general? When you dream about your future, what is it that you are doing in real estate? What is your personality like?

Long term, I want to be in an expert type of tole. Like I bring value by being a specialist who is very knowledgeable about my field.

I would consider myself to be good at speaking (had good case comp experience + is persuasive), but presentations give me anxiety. I don't consider it sustainable to be in a profession where I have to constantly present.

Fairly good with numbers.

The most important thing to do is get technical, baseline understanding of concepts and sector. There are few training programs, but have seen some Wall Street lenders and brokerages provide a good entry point for recent grads.
