Ideal post grad GPA?

Currently a second year analyst at a mid to smaller acquisitions shop and have been looking to exit to a larger platform or developer.

I was wondering what an acceptable / ideal undergrad GPA would be for FT recruiting? Have a 3.55 on my resume with solid experience otherwise and not sure how much this could hold me back.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, an undergrad GPA of 3.55 is generally considered acceptable, especially when paired with strong work experience. While a higher GPA (e.g., 3.7+) might provide an edge for some competitive roles, your solid experience at a mid-to-smaller acquisitions shop can help offset any concerns about your GPA.

For FT recruiting, particularly when targeting larger platforms or developers, networking and showcasing your relevant experience will likely carry more weight than a slight GPA difference. If you're concerned, you can proactively address your GPA in interviews by emphasizing your professional achievements and skills.
