Insight into working for an opportunity zone investor

I have an interview coming up where I would be working for a startup private equity group investing in opportunity zones in my local area. Every person at the fund comes in very qualified, and I find the aspect of working in the distressed areas of my city to be pretty intriguing. I understand what investing in opportunity zones entail, but less so the experience of working for a fund that does the investments. In essence I have the knowledge from reading rather than experience first hand.

The firm I'm at now is much more national, and we do no opportunity zone investing, so I was curious if anyone has any insight into working for funds like this, especially with a fund with a heavy focus on a singular city?
